Lakeside battles Chewelah

Lakeside scored 7 runs in the first two innings enroute to a 10 to 0 victory over Chewelah in the first game of their make-up doubleheader on Monday. Anthony Froemke notched the win, to go 4 - 0, throwing a 2 hit shutout in the process. Lakeside bats were at their best as Froemke, Rylin Dukes and Nic Phillips had 3 hits each, while Stillar added 2 hits, and Corigliano, Graham and Herzer closed out the barrage. Game over in five innings.

Game two was the Rylin Dukes show, as he pitched a complete game, while striking out 5, in a 3 to 2 win. Rylin also had 3 hits, including the game winner, his 4th dinger of the season, in the bottom of the 5th inning after Chewelah had tied the score at 2 in the top half of the inning. Dukes knocked in the Eagles first run, in the 1st inning, with a double followed by a Travis Corigliano single for RBI number two. Well done Eagles!
