Volleyball falls to Cascade Christian
The Lady Eagles fell to Cascade Christian today in the first round of the 1A state volleyball tournament at the Yakima SunDome, dashing hopes to play for the state championship.
CC won the close first game 25-22, Lakeside won the second with a strong 25-16, but then CC put the match away with scores of 25-18 and 25-12 to move on to the 3:30 pm quarterfinal round against Castle Rock, which defeated Connell 3-0.
Lakeside now faces Connell tomorrow at 9 am on Court 2 for a chance to play on for 5th place. The tournament bracket can be tracked here: 1A Volleyball Championships .
In other games, Goldendale was handed its first loss by Caribou Trail League Chelan, 3 games to 1, Cedar Park Christian defeated Stevenson 3-0, and Annie Wright dispatched Riverview 3-0.
