B-ball girls advance; boys out after 1 point loss
The Lakeside boys basketball team lost to Lake Roosevelt 50-51 in the opening round of the District 6/7 Regional basketball tournament in Moses Lake last night, dashing hopes of advancing to the 2009 state championship tournament.
Meanwhile, NEA #3 Lakeside girls trounced CTL #2 Tonasket 44-36 to move on to the semi-final round against NEA #1 Freeman Friday night. Kendra Lahue led the Lady Eagles with 18 points, followed by Leslie Stillar with 12. Lakeside girls are now 14-9 overall. Freeman remains undefeated at 21-0.
Friday's game time is 5:30pm at Moses Lake High School.
